Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2

This is a sequel to Marvel Ultimate Alliance that was released in 2006, which was released September 15, 2009. Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 is available for PS3, Xbox360, Nintendo Wii, DS, PS2 and PlayStation Portable. As the name suggests, the game would feature characters from Marvel Comic, also features characters from Civil War and Secret War.

The Game Play:

You will be able to choose from a number of players, team members are interchangeable during game-play, those who remember X-men Legends this game has a similar game-play to X-men legends and is played in a dungeon crawl type of perspective. Basically Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 has similar game-play to the first one, but for those who have not play either as yet, this article should give you the basic information of what this game is like.

There is also online play for persons who own a PS3 or Xbox 360 via PlayStation Network or Xbox Live respectively. Up to four players simultaneously battling together, the characters do level up gain new abilities and powers. Characters are able to combine powers within the game creating a new attack called a “fusion” attack.

Each player in the game has a unique fusion with every other playable character, such as Captain America reflecting Storm’s lighting bolts with his shield. The plot of the game is a mixture of Civil War and Secret War (referring to comics), beginning with a Secret War then followed up by a Civil War story line. The game consists of multiple endings determined by the side chosen at the beginning of the game.

The game has a good overall rating from critics, I personally have not played this game but based on the statistics that I have been seeing it is a fairly good game, but as with anyone, a game sometimes is only good if the person who buys it is into that type of game so while this may be a spectacular game to one person, it may be quite the opposite to another person.

Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 was developed by Activision, the game was featured at New York Comic Con and there were trailers released before the actual release of this game, which is the norm when it comes to anything that is new. There has to be some promotional event for the release date of the product.
