I ‘hate’ you Beth Cooper
By Andre Millwood
When you watch this movie, I am positively sure that the term ‘brain damage’ will come to mind. I literally had to come home and watch the Discovery channel to regain some form of intelligence.
It just plain sucked. It seems as if the script was freestyled as they went along. Most of the jokes ‘their silly excuse for humour’ if not all was corny. Maybe it is that this movie was made towards a more specific target audience that being the preppy type who could identify with the situations in the movie. Even so it could have been a whole lot better and We at theliquidfrequency says this…is a waste…of money. You would ascertain more humour from watching a bicycle wheel spin.
We must commend the person who did the casting for the characters were on point. The protagonist Denis Cooverman (Paul Rust) the typical nerd well was a NERD, and according to a fellow in the audience had a hoover vacuum for a nose. Now the babe of the film was indeed that Beth Cooper (Hayden Panettiere), dude had a right to be hooked on her for a minute…although he probably should have made a move before she had a boyfriend in the army.
Now a few things you cant use arms from a skeleton as nunchuks, you cant be hit by a car not gently touched HIT! And be quite fine after… a towel..a wet towel cannot knock out someone…I think. Well I should expect these ridiculous happenings from the creator of the Simpsons who wrote the novel this film is based on.
All in all don’t waste your hard, earned even if you beg it money on this movie it can wait for cable channels to show it. Then maybe you and your clique can have fun pointing out the ridiculous points in the movie.
I am now going back to watching Discovery channel to regain some level of brain cells hopefully the channel doesn’t disappoint as well.
