Friday Night in New Kingston
So Frequency was on the road for another Friday night and we touched into the New Kingston area to see what was up?
Dream Fridays at Pure/Plush and Digicel and ATI Fridays (That’s My DJ Fridays) at the Quad were the places to be for the night. Of course predictably you had a Bar-raaaaage! Of ladies lined up outside Quad around 10:30 p.m. waiting to take advantage of the ladies free before 11 promotions that ATI threw out of their pocket this week. We must make mention to the monitors that were placed outside of Quad laying both the Twins of Twins and Elephant Man Ads for ATI… at first it was interesting then after the first five minutes…it became increasingly annoying.
We entered into Pure first which to be honest was a bit scanty at first but DJ Smurf was up in the building doing his thing building up a vybe and as expected as the night progressed more people entered the club BUT and note the but is capitalized this week seems to be the weeks for Dream Fridays in terms of numbers but the vybe was certainly not lacking.
Over by Quad now Oxygen Nightclub was packed at the time when we rolled through Papizzle was hittin’ up some ol’ school hip hop and doing it justice. IT was a bit too uncomfortable to navigate through the nightclub so much so that we were unable to take pictures without being bounced or asked to move.
In all if you were going to both places you better had your clique with you for both never seemed like environments where you could be social and meet new people one was packed and one was well scanty for the most part.
Well just a reminder that hey Summer Bar-raage is a must be 'caan' skull event which is sure to deliver with that I end here.
