And what a Rush!
Having the word Rush was indeed a correct choice of words to be in the title of Le’ Dieux’s event Blu Rush. Arriving at the venue at the early time of 10:30 p.m. there was a crowd and I am talking about 200, or 300+ people, maybe I am even underestimating the number, trying to get into the event. Frantic yells of concern from women trying to get the 2-4-1 deal to get into the venue and so anxious were they that barricades and security were seen as obstacles to them.
The situation at the gate was an interesting one at that but once we got past that experience we got into the venue which was an interesting layout with the main bar being in the middle leaving patrons to make a circle around it was very effective. The Smurfettes in their Blu Rush shirts were looking cute and were working their hearts out at it. The Fact that their was such a large amount of the patrons at this point in time of the event we were unable to taste everything but initially mixed drinks were on par the rum cream and chocolate mixed drinks..superb..the chocolate fountain experience incredible stuff if I may say so. There were a few situations of drinks being overly laced with liquor or few cases in which the drinks were over chases but for a bunch of amateurs the smurfettes did well and liquidfrequency congratulates Le’ Dieux on their choice of bartenders.
Now hopefully most of the patrons have read the statement Le’ Dieux has released regarding the unfortunate circumstances that occurred at the event if not here is a link:

This will clear up all concerns regarding the event being locked off early… this was truly a disappointment but it was not the fault of neither the event planners or the police so we will not dwell on that.
In terms of the vybez from the DJ’s there were a lot of up and down patches but overall we jus have to give an OK rating to that for there were really a lot of vybe killing moments on behalf of the DJ’s and Technical Difficulties from the Equipment Providers.
Indeed Blu Rush had a Tremendous turnout but due to a series of unfortunate events the reputation of the event might be at stake but we at Liquid Illusions can vouch for the planners that they should still continue to do event planning for the patrons obviously think your doing something right.
